Bellarmine University has released its 2026 field hockey schedule, confirming an 18‑game regular season that will test the Knights across a diverse slate of opponents.
The slate includes nine contests inside the Mid‑American Conference, while the team will also meet rivals from seven other conferences, giving the schedule a national flavor.
Coach Toby Platt, now in his second year at the helm, says the plan balances competitive challenges with opportunities for growth, especially as the roster continues to develop.
Six of those games will be played at Trager Stadium, the home of the Knights, and every home contest will be streamed live on ESPN+, giving fans easy access to the action.
The season opens with a neutral‑site doubleheader in Columbus, Ohio, where Bellarmine will face Old Dominion on August 29 and Ohio State on August 30, setting an early tone for the campaign.
Following the Ohio stop, the team heads west for a California road swing, opening with a matchup against Stanford on September 4 before traveling to UC Davis on September 6.
Mid‑American Conference play kicks off on September 18 at Appalachian State, and a week later the Knights will test a non‑conference opponent at Davidson on September 20.
Home dates in September include a Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day game against Longwood on September 25 and a clash with Ohio on September 27, both scheduled to be played in front of the home crowd.
October brings a series of high‑profile fixtures, highlighted by the annual Pink Game against Miami (OH) on October 16, followed by a home meeting with UMass on October 18.
Looking Ahead
The regular season will wrap up with a back‑to‑back home stretch against Ball State on October 29 and Saint Louis on November 1, concluding a campaign that has taken the Knights from the Midwest to the West Coast and back again.
