Jillian Anderson, a junior midfielder for Boise State, has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Midfielder Watch List for the 2026 season, joining a select group of collegiate players highlighted ahead of the upcoming campaign.
A breakout 2025 campaign
During the 2025 season Anderson appeared in 20 matches, starting 18, and contributed five goals and three assists, numbers that earned her All‑Pacific Region and All‑Mountain West second‑team honors.
Her impact was most evident in two late‑season performances. Against San Diego State on October 16 she matched career highs with two goals and four points, the latter including the decisive match‑winning strike. A month later she found the net in the Mountain West Championship semifinal, helping the Broncos advance.
More Broncos on the watch list
Anderson is not the only Bronco receiving preseason recognition. Goalkeeper Ava de Leest and defender Kaitlyn Slocum also earned spots on United Soccer Coaches positional watch lists, making Boise State one of just five programs nationwide with representatives on all three lists.
The other midfielders on the watch list include Helen Alormenu of Texas State, Mia Casey of Colorado State and Amelia Severn of Gonzaga, underscoring the depth of talent across the Pac‑12.
The Broncos will open the 2026 season at home against CSUN on August 12, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. MT at the Boas Soccer Complex. The full watch lists will be unveiled on August 12, 2026, a date that also marks the start of the season for many programs.
Being placed on a United Soccer Coaches watch list signals that a player is among the top candidates for national accolades and professional scouting attention. For Anderson, the honor reflects both her on‑field contributions and the growing reputation of Boise State’s soccer program.
