DePaul Women's Soccer Extends Record Academic Streak
DePaul’s women’s soccer program has once again been recognized for its commitment to academic excellence, earning the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for the 24th straight year. The team posted a 3.75 cumulative GPA during the 2025‑26 academic year, comfortably exceeding the 3.0 threshold that the honor requires.
The streak, which dates back to 2003, represents one of the longest-running academic accolades in the program’s history. It reflects a sustained culture that values both athletic performance and scholarly achievement, setting a benchmark for collegiate soccer programs nationwide.
Exhibition Match on the Horizon
The Blue Demons are slated to host Illinois State in an exhibition match on August 9 at 4 p.m. The game will be played at Wish Field, a venue that has become a familiar battleground for DePaul’s soccer teams as they fine‑tune their preseason preparations.
While the exhibition serves as a warm‑up for the upcoming season, the coaching staff has emphasized that the focus remains on upholding the high standards set both on the field and in the classroom.
