Early Schedule Revealed
NASCAR has released 17 of the 38 race dates for the 2027 Cup Series, providing the first official glimpse of the upcoming season. The announcement includes the preseason Clash at Daytona scheduled for February 13 and the iconic Daytona 500 set for February 21, marking a busy start to the year that also features the spring All‑Star Race.
Among the confirmed events are races at Atlanta, Austin’s Circuit of the Americas, Phoenix, Bristol, Talladega, Texas, Charlotte, Iowa and Daytona. These venues blend traditional speedways with modern facilities, offering a diverse slate of competitions that will test drivers across a range of track types.
Unresolved Venues
Despite the partial rollout, several high‑profile locations remain uncertain. NASCAR has not yet confirmed whether it will return to Naval Base Coronado or Chicagoland for a second consecutive year, and there is ongoing speculation about a possible swap that would see North Wilkesboro replaced by Dover as a regular‑season venue.
The remaining races slated for February, March, April, May, July and August are still marked as TBA, indicating that the calendar will continue to evolve as speedways, host cities, broadcast partners and NASCAR’s logistics team finalize agreements. This negotiation process is expected to bring further adjustments before the full schedule is locked in.
The playoffs, known as the Chase, are slated to begin in September at Darlington, rounding out a season that will conclude with the traditional championship race later in the month. While many dates remain pending, the early announcements provide teams, drivers and fans with a clear framework for planning the upcoming year.
