Academic Honor for Rams
The Farmingdale State University women's soccer program has been recognized once again for its scholarly achievements, capturing the 2025‑26 United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for the second straight year. The accolade highlights a collective grade‑point average of 3.16 earned by the squad during the 2025‑26 academic cycle.
Out of the 777 collegiate programs nationwide that posted a GPA of at least 3.0, 451 were women's teams, underscoring the Rams' placement among the top performers. This marks the second consecutive year the program has been celebrated for balancing athletic competition with academic excellence.
Season Opener on the Horizon
As the calendar turns to September, the Rams are set to begin their 2026 campaign with a road test at SUNY New Paltz on September 1. The match will serve as the first official game of the new season before the team returns home for the Labor Day weekend FSC Invitational, a showcase event that will feature the opening matchup against Plattsburgh State on September 5 and a subsequent contest with Westfield State on September 6.
Coaching staff have emphasized preparation and cohesion as the roster finalizes its lineup. Early practices have focused on integrating fresh talent while preserving the defensive discipline that characterized the previous season's success.
