A West Michigan youth flag football team called NxtGen has finished the season without a loss, posting a 16‑0 record across three national tournaments. The squad has outscored its opponents 356 to 49, capturing titles at the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Iowa, the Meijer State Games of Michigan and the Unrivaled Flag Nationals.
A Perfect Run
The roster features nine players from across West Michigan, including Arthur Albert, Sawyer Brooks, Harris Mackey, Bobby Palcowski, Braylen Stovall, Michael Walsh, Dominic Wierzbicki, Eric Younger and Jamez Younger. Coach Brian Walsh says the team’s mission is to build football for the next generation through practice, scrimmages and competition against top teams worldwide.
Next up, NxtGen will travel to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, to take part in the Unrivaled Flag Gold Jacket Classic, a 5‑on‑5 tournament that will test the squad against elite competition from across the country.
The achievement has drawn attention from local media and youth sports observers, who praise the team’s discipline and the coaching staff’s ability to develop talent at a high level.
