Community Outreach Before the Chase
NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suárez, a native of Monterrey, Mexico, arrived in the St. Louis area as part of a series of community‑focused activities leading up to the September NASCAR Chase weekend. He was welcomed by local officials and took part in a lunch hosted by Mayor Michael Suarez, where he met residents, first responders and community leaders.
During the visit Suárez attended the grand reopening of Save A Lot y Más in St. Louis, a Hispanic‑focused grocery store that has expanded its Spanish‑language offerings. He helped customers at checkout, shared traditional Mexican snacks and praised the store’s new community‑centric layout.
Celebrating Local Culture and Racing
In a gesture that blended philanthropy with racing excitement, the store announced that the first 20 shoppers in line would receive complimentary groceries and tickets to the Enjoy Illinois 300, the centerpiece event of the upcoming NASCAR weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway. The promotion aimed to reward local fans and encourage attendance at the track.
