A Commitment Shaped by Roots and Vision
Treddy Faison, a 6‑foot‑7 forward from Troy, New York, announced verbally that he will join the University at Albany’s men’s basketball program for the class of 2027.
The announcement comes after a standout season at La Salle Institute, where he earned Times Union Large School third‑team honors and led his squad to the Class AA tournament semifinals.
Faison’s journey has taken him from the Capital Region to Winchendon School in Massachusetts, a move that opened doors to Division I recruitment and allowed him to develop both on and off the court.
Coach Dwayne Killings, who recently saw his contract extended through the 2026‑27 season, played a pivotal role in the recruit’s decision, a factor that resonated with Faison’s desire for stability and mentorship.
The Albany roster for the upcoming season already features local talents Zacharie Matulu and U’Mier Graham, friends of Faison who share his ambition to contribute to a winning culture.
Faison joins a program that has been building momentum under Killings, and his pledge underscores a focus on leadership, defense, and the pursuit of collective success.
