Open Practice Set for August 12
The Southeast Missouri State University women's basketball program will open its doors to the public on Wednesday, August 12, inviting fans to witness the team’s early preparations for the upcoming 2026‑27 campaign.
The session, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in the Show Me Center, will feature a series of drills and scrimmages designed to fine‑tune tactics and chemistry before the first official game.
Attendees can enjoy complimentary coffee and donuts while they watch, adding a casual atmosphere to what promises to be an informative glimpse of the squad.
Registration is mandatory, and interested participants are asked to sign up through a dedicated online link provided by the athletics department.
Notably, the coaching staff will not be available for recruiting discussions, as the NCAA has imposed a recruiting shutdown period that restricts such interactions during this window.
The team’s season opener is slated for November 2, when they will host Missouri State in their first contest of the new year.
Fans who attend the open practice will get an early look at the roster and style of play, setting the stage for what the program hopes will be a competitive season.
