The Fargo 13U baseball team, representing the United States at the Little League Intermediate 50/70 World Series, saw their tournament run end with a 25‑0 loss to California’s District 57 squad in a four‑inning elimination game, finishing the event with a 2‑2 record.
A Brief Recap of the Tournament Run
Earlier in the week the club celebrated two victories, beating East Region champion West Side Little League from Pennsylvania 3‑2 and then edging Southwest Region East Bank Little League of Louisiana 7‑5, which earned them a spot in the U.S. semifinal round.
In that semifinal the Fargo squad faced the West Region champion Granada Little League from Livermore, California, falling 17‑0 and closing out their World Series campaign.
Looking Ahead to the Midwest Regional
Despite the loss, the team’s next challenge is already on the horizon: the 12U squad will head to Whitestown, Indiana, to compete in the Midwest Regional tournament beginning August 7, with their opening match against Davenport Northwest Little League (Iowa) streamed live on ESPN+ at noon.
