Fall Preview: Riverside Braves Aim for Consistency
The Riverside Braves, a 2A high school baseball program based in Oklahoma, enter the 2026 fall season after posting an 8‑11 record the previous fall and a 20‑8 mark in the spring. The team’s recent performance reflects a swing in fortunes that has set the stage for a renewed push in the upcoming schedule.
Head coach TD Thrash, who has led the program for seven years, emphasizes the importance of continuity and accountability. He points to a core group of returning players — including catcher‑infielder Isaac Hernandez, pitcher‑centerfielder David Komalty Jr., utility player Kade Komalty, and versatile infielder‑outfielder Taven Thrash — as the foundation upon which the team hopes to build.
Brody Romannose, a senior who will see time in the outfield and at third base, is expected to add depth and experience to the lineup. Coach Thrash notes that the squad’s greatest asset is the chemistry that has developed over multiple seasons, a factor he believes can translate into more wins if the players stay committed to their roles.
