The Marshall University men’s basketball program has unveiled its full slate for the 2026‑27 Sun Belt Conference season, a schedule that balances nine home contests with nine road trips.
The first four games will be played on the familiar hardwood of the Cam Henderson Center, beginning with a showdown against Old Dominion on December 16, followed by a New Year’s Eve clash with South Alabama and a January 2 matchup versus Arkansas State.
Later in the conference slate, the Herd will host Georgia Southern on January 16, Appalachian State on January 30, and James Madison on February 13, each offering a chance to build momentum before the season’s climax.
The regular season will wrap up with a February 26 road test against Troy, the team that captured both the regular‑season and tournament titles in the previous year, underscoring the competitive nature of the schedule.
Championship week heads to the Gulf Coast
From March 2 through March 8, the Sun Belt tournament will be staged at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida, bringing together the conference’s top teams for a final battle that could set the tone for the NCAA tournament.
