Coastal Carolina University (CCU) has released its 2026‑27 men’s basketball slate, a schedule that blends home‑court familiarity with a gauntlet of top‑tier road tests.
The Chanticleers will enjoy 15 contests on their home floor at the HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina, where fans can expect a lively atmosphere as the season opens with a MAC‑SBC Challenge matchup against Eastern Michigan on November 2.
The non‑conference portion also includes an exhibition against Columbia International on November 7, followed by games versus former Big South rivals Campbell and Winthrop, the in‑state foe USC Upstate, and Division I programs such as Virginia University of Lynchburg and Carolina University.
Road trips will take the team to some of the nation’s most storied programs, including visits to Duke, Wisconsin and Tennessee, all of which advanced to the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
Sun Belt showdown
Conference play will consist of 18 Sun Belt games, with trips to Georgia Southern, Troy and Louisiana Tech, while the regular season culminates in the 2027 Sun Belt Championship in Pensacola, Florida, from March 2‑8. The tournament awards the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, giving the champion a direct path to the national stage.
With the schedule set, the Chanticleers aim to leverage their home‑court advantage, navigate a demanding non‑conference slate, and contend for the Sun Belt title that could propel them back to the national stage.
