The match opened with a lightning‑quick strike as Gianna Weiner found the net just 42 seconds in, the assist coming from teammate Nadia Leunig, giving Evergreen an early 1-0 lead that set the tone for the contest.
Weiner capped her senior season with a double‑digit tally of 20 goals and 17 assists, underscoring her role as the team’s offensive engine.
Midway through the first half, Maija Alper recorded her inaugural high‑school goal, set up by Weiner, to extend the lead to 2-0 at the break, a moment that highlighted the squad’s depth.
Elle Buenning sealed the outcome in the 60th minute, slotting the final goal to make the score 3-0 and spark celebrations among players and fans alike.
Between the attacks, junior goalkeeper Avery Mahnken preserved a flawless playoff record, improving to 15-0 in career postseason appearances and providing the defensive backbone that kept Mullen at bay.
