Rochester's Rising Star Leads Youth Basketball Camp
Thomas Bryant, a forward who has made his mark in the NBA, returned to his hometown of Rochester this summer to run an annual basketball camp aimed at teaching youngsters the fundamentals of the game.
The event was staged at Bishop Kearney High School, the alma mater of the NBA player, and was conducted in collaboration with the local YMCA, which provided additional volunteer coaches and resources.
Over the course of several days, Bryant guided the participants through a series of drills that emphasized ball handling, precise passing and accurate shooting, stopping frequently to offer individualized feedback and encouragement.

At the closing ceremony, Rochester Mayor Malik Evans took the opportunity to recognize Bryant’s contributions to the community, presenting the player with a ceremonial key to the city as a token of appreciation.
