Williams also brings a résumé that includes a freshman season at Nevada where he earned Freshman of the Year honors, and a prior stint at Texas Tech where he started 67 games.
What the Commitment Means for Kentucky
The Wildcats had been courting Williams as a potential wing depth piece, especially as senior Kam Williams works his way back from a second foot surgery that sidelined him during summer workouts. Without Williams, Kentucky must look elsewhere for a seasoned perimeter player.
Coach Mark Pope’s staff has already turned its attention to other prospects, naming Michigan State forward Jaxon Kohler, Missouri forward Mark Mitchell and Auburn forward Keyshawn Hall among the players under consideration for the 2026‑27 class.
