The University of Louisiana at Lafayette announced its full slate of men’s basketball contests for the 2026‑27 Sun Belt Conference campaign, a schedule that will see the Ragin’ Cajuns navigate 18 conference battles from early December through late February.
Schedule Overview
Under the guidance of first‑year head coach Quannas White, the team opens its conference slate at home on Dec. 16 against the University of Louisiana at Monroe, setting the tone for a season that blends home‑court familiarity with a demanding road circuit.
Key home dates include a showdown with Marshall on Dec. 19, a clash against Old Dominion on Jan. 7, and a meeting with James Madison on Jan. 9, while additional contests against South Alabama, Troy, Southern Miss and Arkansas State punctuate the latter half of the schedule.
The road portion begins on New Year’s Eve at Georgia Southern, continues with early‑January trips to Georgia State and Coastal Carolina, and later features visits to Arkansas State, Southern Miss and a series of February battles at Troy, South Alabama and Louisiana Tech.
Championship Outlook
The regular season will close with a home game at ULM on Feb. 26, 2027, before the team travels to Pensacola for the Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Championship, slated for March 2‑8 at the Pensacola Bay Center.
Louisiana also opens the broader season on Nov. 2 in the MAC‑Sun Belt Challenge against Akron, a non‑conference matchup that precedes the conference slate.
