Louisiana Women’s Basketball Unveils 2026-27 Sun Belt Schedule

Season opener set for November 3, all games free on ESPN+, championship to be held in Pensacola

The University of Louisiana announced its 2026-27 women's basketball schedule, confirming an 18-game Sun Belt Conference slate that begins on November 3. The Ragin' Cajuns will play nine home games at the Cajundome and nine away contests, with the full slate released ahead of the season kickoff.

Season Structure and Highlights

All conference games are set to be broadcast on ESPN+, and admission will remain free for every match throughout the season. The schedule was revealed as part of a broader conference realignment that has kept the Sun Belt's 18-game format for the fifth straight year.

Louisiana will host a series of home-and-home matchups against western region opponents, including six contests against teams from that region and six against eastern region foes, with the exception of Appalachian State. Road trips are slated for Old Dominion, Marshall and Arkansas State, while the final home games will feature matchups against Troy and Arkansas State in February.

The conference championship tournament is scheduled for March 2-8, 2027, in Pensacola, Florida, where the top teams will compete for the automatic NCAA tournament bid. The regular season will conclude on February 26, 2027, after which the Ragin' Cajuns will transition to postseason play.

Coach Garry Brodhead, now in his 15th season with the program, emphasized the importance of the schedule in preparing the team for the rigors of conference play. "We have a challenging slate, but it gives us the opportunity to test ourselves against quality opponents and grow as a unit," Brodhead said in a release.

Exhibition games against LSU Alexandria and Mississippi Christian are set for October 22 and 29, respectively, providing early chances for fans to see the team in action before the official opener. All game times and streaming details will be posted on the Ragin' Cajuns' official schedule page at RaginCajuns.com.
