The 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp has announced its invitees, and three standout Texas Longhorns have earned a place among the nation's top college prospects. Sam Cozart, Anthony Pack Jr., and Dylan Volantis will join a select group of players vying for a spot on the final Collegiate National Team.
Pitching Excellence and Freshman Impact
Dylan Volantis brings a stellar pitching record, posting a 2.05 ERA across 13 starts that placed him first in the SEC and sixth nationally. His 105 strikeouts rank third in the SEC and tie for 17th in the country, underscoring his dominance on the mound.
Sam Cozart, meanwhile, has demonstrated both reliability and precision. He maintains a 1.59 ERA and has recorded eight saves in 20 appearances, while limiting opponents to a .112 batting average and striking out 66 batters throughout the season.
Freshman Anthony Pack Jr. has made an immediate impact at the plate, driving in 45 runs and batting .360. His speed has also been a game‑changer, stealing a team‑high 20 bases and earning SEC Freshman of the Year honors for his contributions.
Camp Experience and Upcoming Selection
During the camp, the three Longhorns will take part in exhibition contests and a five‑game intrasquad series designed to test their abilities against the nation's best. The final roster will be announced on July 5, marking the culmination of intense evaluation.
Should they secure a place on the national team, the trio will travel to Taiwan for the World Collegiate Baseball Championship, scheduled for July 11‑15. Representing the United States on such an international stage would not only showcase Texas Longhorns' program strength but also give the players a chance to compete for a world title.
