Colorado Buffaloes Unveil 2026‑27 Nonconference Schedule
The University of Colorado’s men’s basketball program has released its nonconference schedule for the 2026‑27 season, a slate that features nine home contests and a blend of road tests designed to sharpen the team before conference play.
The season will open on November 2, 2026, when the Buffaloes travel to face Abilene Christian at the CU Events Center, marking the first meeting between the two programs.
The first seven games include four away contests, giving the squad early exposure to diverse opponents before the home crowd takes over.
Home‑Court Highlights
November brings a series of home games, starting with matchups against West Coast Conference rivals San Diego and Portland, followed by the Bill Walton Classic where the Buffaloes host San Diego State on November 7.
A home‑and‑home series with Providence is set for November 14 in Rhode Island, while the Buffaloes will also welcome Colorado State for the Rocky Mountain Showdown on December 5, adding a regional rivalry to the schedule.
Road Challenges and Holiday Showdowns
Thanksgiving week sees the team head to Palm Desert for the Acrisure Series, where they will meet Stanford on November 24, before returning to Boulder for a stretch of four consecutive home games that include contests against UTEP, Central Arkansas and Cal Poly.
The nonconference slate culminates with the Indy Classic, a road test against Purdue in Indianapolis on December 19, and holiday home games versus North Dakota on December 22 and the in‑state rival Denver on December 29, rounding out a demanding but exciting schedule.
