Courtney Eldridge, a men’s basketball assistant coach at Temple University, has earned a spot in the inaugural NABC Flight School, an invitation‑only program that gathers the next generation of coaching talent for intensive professional development.
The event will be staged at the Nike Philip H. Knight Campus just outside Portland, Oregon, where participants will engage in panel discussions, mock interviews and extensive networking opportunities.
Eldridge brings a strong résumé to the table, having spent ten seasons on Fran McCaffery’s staff at the University of Iowa before moving to Temple. During his time in Iowa the Hawkeyes captured the 2022 Big Ten Tournament title and secured five NCAA Tournament berths.
He is one of only two American Conference assistants chosen for the inaugural cohort, joining Duffy Conroy of Tulsa University, and was identified through consultation with a broad network of college‑sports stakeholders.
A New Chapter for Mid‑Major Coaching
The Flight School reflects a growing emphasis on mentorship and career advancement within the mid‑major circuit, offering emerging coaches a rare chance to learn from industry leaders and sharpen their strategic outlook.
