A season of resurgence
Head coach Derek Hill repeatedly pointed to the senior class and the collective drive of a motivated roster as the engine behind the turnaround.
Among the returning standouts, Jaylen Madsen emerged as a dual‑threat, leading the offense with 1,202 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns while also earning second‑team all‑conference honors at defensive back.
Mason Neely, another key returnee, collected 117 tackles and five sacks en route to second‑team all‑conference recognition on both sides of the line.
Conner Neely added a bruising presence, posting 108 tackles and seven sacks and earning first‑team all‑conference honors as a defensive lineman while also being named an honorable‑mention running back.
The team will rely on seven offensive starters back in the lineup, including Madsen at quarterback and a deep group of specialists ready to sustain the power‑run identity that has defined the program.
Health will be a focal point, with the coaching staff emphasizing conditioning and depth as they prepare for a jamboree on August 21 and a season‑opening road test at Cabool on August 28.
