LSU Tigers to Headline 2026 Acrisure Series Thanksgiving Basketball Event in Palm Springs

Games against Arizona State and SMU headline a six‑day tournament featuring 26 matchups

A Thanksgiving Tradition Returns

The LSU Tigers are slated to compete in the 2026 Acrisure Series, a Thanksgiving‑focused college basketball showcase taking place in Palm Springs, California.

On November 25 the Tigers will face Arizona State at 1 p.m. CT, followed by a matchup against SMU on November 26 at 6 p.m. CT, both games to be televised on CBS Sports Network and carried by the LSU Sports Radio Network.

The series, which spans six days and includes 26 games across the Coachella Valley, is being billed as one of the most competitive Thanksgiving basketball events in recent memory.

Historically, LSU and Arizona State have met twice on neutral sites, most notably an overtime thriller during the 2007 Maui Invitational, while the Tigers and SMU have split their last two encounters in Frisco, Texas, and New Orleans as part of the Compete 4 Cause Classics, a series that currently sees SMU ahead 4‑3.

Dan Shell, President of Total Sports Consulting and co‑tournament director of the Acrisure Series, described the 2026 field as the strongest ever assembled for the event.

Tickets for the tournament will go on sale August 8 at noon CT through Ticketmaster.com, giving fans the opportunity to secure seats for what promises to be a marquee college basketball weekend.
