Season Overview
Brown University’s women’s basketball program has unveiled its full slate for the 2026‑27 campaign, a schedule that blends early‑season challenges with a rigorous Ivy League slate.
The season opens on November 2 with a road test at Siena, setting the tone for a demanding non‑conference slate.
Following that opener, the Bears enjoy three straight home contests against Army, Bucknell and Holy Cross, giving the team a chance to build early momentum on the Providence campus.
The road then leads to a series of away games, beginning with a trip to Maine on November 15, then a showdown at Merrimack on November 19, followed by stops at UMBC, Boston University and a test at North Carolina later in the month.
December brings a mix of home and away fixtures, including contests against Marist and George Washington at the Pizzitola Sports Center, before the Bears head north to New Hampshire and then travel to Bryant and Texas State before the calendar flips to the new year.
Ivy League play kicks off on January 4 with a home game versus Yale, after which the team will travel to Philadelphia’s historic Palestra to meet Penn on January 9, before returning home for games against Columbia, Cornell and Princeton later in the month.
January also features a double‑header at home against Harvard and Dartmouth on the 29th and 30th, providing a late‑season boost before the Bears head back onto the road.
February is dominated by conference road trips, with visits to Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth, Princeton, Columbia and Cornell scattered throughout the month, culminating in a final home matchup against Penn on March 6.
The schedule reflects a balanced approach, alternating between home comforts and challenging away venues, while also highlighting the program’s commitment to competitive non‑conference opponents.
