Thousands gathered along the streets of Canton, Ohio, on a crisp Saturday morning as the city hosted its 63rd annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Parade, a tradition that has marked the sport’s history for more than six decades.
A milestone celebration
The ceremony welcomed five new members into the Hall of Fame Class of 2026 — Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Kuechly, Adam Vinatieri and Roger Craig — each of whom left an indelible mark on the game.
The procession wound through a 2.2‑mile route that snakes into Downtown Canton, drawing families, longtime supporters and visitors from across the country who lined the sidewalks to cheer.
Family ties and community spirit
Lauren Dalesandro, who chairs the Family Ambassador Committee, spoke of her family’s deep roots in the town and the pride she feels in helping reinvest in the community through the event.
Cho Dull, a close friend of inductee Adam Vinatieri, attended the parade to share in the historic moment, underscoring the personal connections that bind the sport’s legends to their fans.
Honoring a legacy
Organizers emphasized that the annual parade does more than celebrate individual careers; it preserves the narrative of professional football and passes that heritage to future generations.
The event’s return each year reinforces Canton’s identity as the sport’s hometown, a place where history is not only remembered but lived out on the streets.
