Murphy arrives after a stint in the NBA G‑League where he coached the Osceola Magic to a championship and served as an analytics specialist and scout for the Atlanta Hawks.
During his time in the minor league, he worked closely with former Wolverines such as Caleb Houstan, Iggy Brazdeikis and DJ Wilson, gaining intimate knowledge of their games and work ethic.
