All‑State Baseball Teams Unveiled
The Midsouth Association of Independent Schools has announced its All‑State Baseball teams for the 2025 season, honoring the top performers across its member institutions.
In the 4A classification, eight standout athletes from Madison County schools earned spots, reflecting the region’s deep talent pool.
MRA contributed three players — Will Bizot, Rhett Taylor and Alex Lambert — who have each committed to Division I programs at the collegiate level.
Jackson Academy also placed three athletes on the 4A list: Deuce Jenkins, Tai Jones and Justin Word, all of whom will continue their careers at the next level.
Jackson Prep added two more honorees, Kevin Roberts Jr. and Sam Miller, completing the 4A selections.
The 3A team features five players from Tri‑County Academy, while the 2A squad includes three athletes from Canton Academy, underscoring the breadth of talent across smaller programs.
Several of the honorees have pledged to nearby community colleges, including Holmes Community College, Pearl River Community College, Jones College, McLennan Community College and Northwest Mississippi Community College, institutions that frequently partner with local high schools for athletic recruitment.
The recognition reflects the strong pipeline of talent feeding into larger collegiate programs such as Mississippi State University, the University of Southern Mississippi and LSU Eunice, all of which maintain ties to the association through scouting and scholarship opportunities.
Athletic directors praised the coordinated effort that made the selections possible, noting that the All‑State honor not only celebrates individual achievement but also showcases the competitive spirit of Mississippi’s independent school landscape.
