Chris Harbour has stepped onto the sidelines of Williamstown High School as the program’s first‑year boys soccer coach, bringing with him more than two decades of local roots and a deep‑seated passion for the sport.
A 2001 graduate of St. Marys High School, Harbour has called Williamstown home for over twenty years, sharing his life with his wife Jaime and their two sons while forging relationships that stretch across the town’s tight‑knit community.
His coaching crew features seasoned assistants Jason Bauer, Scott Seago and Edis Osmanovich, each bringing years of competitive experience that will help shape a squad of twenty‑two players.
The roster is balanced, with senior Tripp Williams anchoring the line‑up alongside an even mix of juniors, sophomores and freshmen, giving the team both leadership and youthful energy.
The season opens on August 22 with a showdown against Wheeling Central, a Class AA/A opponent that reached the runner‑up spot last year, setting the stage for an early test of the Wildcats’ mettle.
Cultivating Growth On and Off the Field
Harbour’s tactical foundation was forged during eight years at Club Ohio and refined through collaboration with former Williamstown coach Telma Poole, whose insights helped him translate club concepts into a high‑school setting.
Beyond the pitch, the town’s collective enthusiasm creates a supportive backdrop, where families, classmates and local businesses rally behind the team, reinforcing the idea that soccer is as much about character as it is about goals.
The overarching aim for the season is to compete fiercely while using the sport as a vehicle for life lessons, preparing the young athletes for challenges on and off the field.
