Rising Stars: Top Returning Girls Soccer Players in Nashville
The 2026 high school girls soccer season in the Nashville area is set to begin on August 17, kicking off a campaign that will culminate with the TSSAA state championships in November.
Summit’s Summer Riley has been crowned The Tennessean’s 2025 Girls Soccer Player of the Year after a breakout year that produced 43 goals, nine assists and a District 10-AAA Player of the Year award.
Franklin forward Aubry Gates, a Kansas State commit, returns with 36 goals and 12 assists, having led her team to the Class AAA state semifinals last season. Veteran scorer Mary Ann Lee of FRA has accumulated 38 goals over the past two seasons, including 20 goals and ten assists this year.
Blackman’s freshman Claire Morgan earned District 8-AAA Freshman of the Year after scoring six goals and adding an assist, while CPA’s Livi Langan, a Mississippi State commit, posted 21 goals and 10 assists and was named DII-AA Middle Region MVP. Maggie Bosworth of DCA contributed 36 goals and 12 assists, and Taylor Hahn of Liberty Creek helped her squad capture the Class AA state championship with 14 goals and seven assists.
Addie Medina from Liberty Creek earned a spot on the TSWA All-State team with 24 goals and 17 assists, and Sydnie DuCharme of CPA was named to the Division II-AA All-Middle Region team after a seven‑goal, seven‑assist season. Ramsey Owens from Giles County scored three game‑winning goals, finishing with seven goals and three assists and earning All‑District 8-AA honors.
In goal, Hannah Stainbrook of Hume‑Fogg recorded 244 saves in 2025, while Battle Creek’s Ashlan Alexander, an attacking midfielder, tallied 24 goals and ten assists, forming a potent one‑two punch with teammate Savannah Evans, who contributed 17 goals and five assists.
Lydia Williams of Centennial returns as the leading scorer with nine goals and five assists, and Aimee Rondon of Stewarts Creek was named district freshman of the year with eight goals and eleven assists. Gabby Cruz of Merrol Hyde led her team with 36 goals and 14 assists and earned all‑state recognition, while Akeelyah Varnado from MLK added five goals and four assists as a winger. Madelyn Wajda from Clarksville Northwest was the Lady Vikings’ leading scorer with 13 goals and eight assists, committing to Columbia State.
