Waldron and Lewandowski Set to Return for 2026‑27
The Toledo Walleye announced this week that forwards Johnny Waldron and Mitch Lewandowski have each signed new contracts to remain with the club through the 2026‑27 season.
Waldron, who spent the previous campaign with Toledo after stints at Arizona State University and the University of Miami (OH), posted 16 points — seven goals and nine assists — in 30 games while also contributing 18 penalty minutes, highlighted by a two‑goal effort in his professional debut.
His junior career includes eight points in 21 games for Arizona State and a 56‑point output over 93 appearances for Miami (OH), complementing a four‑year run with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL where he tallied 60 points.
Lewandowski returns after a productive 2025‑26 stretch in which he recorded 44 points — 12 goals and 32 assists — in 50 games for Toledo, having rejoined the organization mid‑season following a stint with Södertälje SK in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan.
The Swedish forward began his North American journey in the AHL, appearing for Tucson, Cleveland and Milwaukee across three seasons and adding six points, while his collegiate years at Michigan State saw him compile 120 points in 156 games and serve as an alternate captain during his final two years.
