A Promising Start to the 2026 Season
Mikkel Lejbowicz, a junior forward for the Seton Hall Pirates, has been named to the 2026 United Soccer Coaches MAC Hermann Trophy Forwards to Watch list, a preseason acknowledgment that highlights the nation’s most promising attacking talents.
During his first season with the Pirates, Lejbowicz contributed seven goals, five of which came in the final five games of the regular campaign. His late‑season surge not only helped the team secure crucial victories but also tied a record for the most goals in a single season under head coach Andreas Lindberg.
He shares the spotlight with Georgetown’s Mitchell Baker, making them the only two Big East forwards selected for the watchlist, while midfielder Til Kauschke earned a separate positional nod earlier in the preseason.
The recognition places Lejbowicz among the top forwards projected to shape the 2026 season, underscoring the impact of his rapid development and the growing reputation of the Seton Hall program on the national stage.
