The incident prompted the resignation of former assistant coach Maddie Dobyns, who stepped down shortly after Corbin’s suspension became public.

A New Emphasis on Accountability
Central to the team’s response has been an eight‑player leadership council, elected by peers to give players a voice and to address concerns with coaching staff on a bi‑weekly basis.
Redshirt sophomore midfielder Langley Mayers, who missed the 2025 season due to injury, serves on the council and has spoken about how the group has helped teammates feel heard and supported.
Despite losing only one player from the spring roster, the Wildcats return a core that set 49 school records during the 2025 campaign, building on a historic 7‑6‑5 finish that marked the program’s first winning season.
Corbin has emphasized a culture in which every player feels valued, regardless of minutes on the field, and she credits the leadership council with helping to cement that environment.
