Shay Strencosky from Pottsville, still nursing the memory of a 3‑8 season, says the focus is on teamwork and enjoyment, hoping to translate that into on‑field resilience. At Minersville, quarterback Derek Derenzo, who inherits the role from Dante Carr, emphasizes humility and collective support, downplaying personal expectations. Meanwhile, Tri‑Valley’s fullback Donovan Keeth is chasing more playing time, aiming to become a key offensive piece, and Marian Catholic sophomore Gregory Tirpak is leading a new pass‑heavy attack, describing the squad as tough and competitive.
Season Kickoff
