Two weeks earlier, on June 30 in Langley, B.C., the Ducks posted a 112‑71 win over Trinity Western University, shooting 51.1 percent and converting 21 opponent turnovers into 35 points. The team built a 39‑point lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
Pharaoh Compton scored 16 points, while Fred Payne added 15 and Jasper Johnson contributed 14. Dwayne Aristode matched Johnson with 14 points, and Tyrone Riley IV supplied 12 points, six steals and six rebounds. Freshman Tajh Ariza chipped in eight points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks, underscoring the depth of the roster.
The Ducks’ bench outscored Trinity Western 46‑13, and their overall rebound differential of 67‑28 across the two games reinforced their dominance on the glass.
