Memphis University announced its 2026‑27 non‑conference basketball schedule on Monday, outlining a slate that pits the Tigers against seven of the nation’s most respected programs.
Key dates include a home showdown with Louisville on November 15, a road trip to Texas on December 16 and a visit to Vanderbilt on November 10. A neutral‑site contest with Iowa State is set for November 2 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, adding a early‑season test on the road.
Key Matchups
During Thanksgiving week the Tigers will travel to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, where they are slated to meet Wake Forest and either Mississippi State or Penn State. The schedule also leaves open the possibility of facing Mississippi State twice, including an exhibition match on October 23 that could set up a regular‑season meeting.
Additional home games are scheduled against Utah State on February 20, VCU on November 7, Grand Canyon on December 11, Evansville on November 22, Little Rock on December 22 and Jackson State on December 2. A neutral‑site clash with Dayton will take place on November 29 in Columbus, Ohio, rounding out a demanding non‑conference slate.
The preseason will also feature an exhibition against Arkansas on October 28, following a preseason scrimmage with the Razorbacks on October 23. Coach Penny Hardaway praised the schedule, saying it provides the team with a rigorous test before stepping into conference play and that the selected opponents represent some of the strongest non‑conference competition available.
