Time of possession slipped to 29 minutes and 47 seconds, ranking 74th nationally, and the program’s goal is to reclaim a top‑25 spot by surpassing the 31‑minute threshold. Longer possession not only sustains drives but also eases the burden on a defense that has shown incremental improvement.
Quarterback Bryce Underwood’s development enters a critical second year, and the secondary has been bolstered with offseason upgrades.
