A new era for the Camels
The Colonial Athletic Association has released the 2026‑27 women’s basketball schedule, confirming that Campbell University will contest an 18‑game conference slate. The Camels are slated for nine home contests and nine road games, with six opponents appearing on both sides of the ledger, three designated as home‑only and three as away‑only.
Among the opponents are Charleston, Elon, North Carolina A&T, UNCW, Northeastern and William & Mary, each meeting the Camels twice during the season. The remaining home fixtures will be against Drexel, Hampton and Monmouth, while Campbell will travel to face Hofstra, Stony Brook and Towson to complete the schedule.
The full slate, including dates and times, will be announced later, but the league has indicated that most games will be played on Fridays and Sundays, providing a consistent rhythm for fans and broadcasters alike.
Broadcast and coverage
All games will stream live on FloCollege, with select contests also airing on local television partners. The championship game of the CAA Women’s Basketball Tournament will receive a national broadcast on CBS Sports Network for the fifth straight season, underscoring the league’s growing visibility.
Campbell’s recent performance adds context to the upcoming campaign. The team finished the previous season with a 13‑5 record in CAA play and secured the second seed in the conference tournament, raising expectations for a strong push under Coach Ali Jaques.
Jaques, who took over the program this offseason, inherits a roster that performed well in the previous year and will look to build on that foundation. His appointment marks the first time the Camels have a new head coach for the upcoming season, setting the stage for fresh strategies and ambitions.
