2027 NASCAR Doubleheader Set at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Las Vegas Motor Speedway announced Tuesday that it will host two NASCAR race weekends in 2027, scheduling the Pennzoil 400 for March 19‑21 and the South Point 400 for October 8‑10. The events will anchor the Cup Series calendar and serve as a critical juncture in the championship chase.
The March weekend will feature the premier NASCAR Cup Series contest alongside the LiUNA‑backed O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race, giving fans a full slate of on‑track action and driver appearances. In October, the South Point 400 will act as a pivotal stop in the Chase, where playoff positioning can be dramatically reshaped.
Since its debut in 1998, the Nevada venue has become a staple of the NASCAR circuit, drawing spectators from every corner of the United States and, increasingly, from abroad. Last year’s edition welcomed fans from all 50 states and 12 countries, underscoring the track’s reputation as a premier sports and entertainment destination.
Patrick Lindsey, senior vice president and general manager of the speedway, said the doubleheader reflects the venue’s commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences. “Our fans can look forward to two weekends of thrilling competition, vibrant hospitality and the unique atmosphere that only Las Vegas can provide,” he remarked.
