A gathering of friends, family and former players will come together on August 15 to honor the memory of a coaching legend who shaped a generation of soccer talent in Brentwood.
Celebrating a Coach's Enduring Influence
Eden guided the Brentwood High School boys soccer program from 1996 until his retirement, compiling a career record of 484 wins, 70 losses and 32 ties. His teams were known for disciplined play and a commitment to community service, earning him the second‑most wins among Suffolk County head coaches behind only Robert Muir.
The 2023 season was a crowning achievement, as his squad finished undefeated at 22‑0, capturing a national title and securing the United Soccer Coaches national boys high school coach of the year honor. That same year, Eden was inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame, cementing his place in Long Island soccer history.
Beyond the trophy cabinet, Eden’s influence extended to mentorship and youth development, with countless players crediting him for their personal growth and love of the game. The upcoming ceremony at Ray Perez Field will provide a space for the community to reflect on his legacy and celebrate the values he instilled on and off the pitch.
