USC’s men’s basketball program has reinforced its frontcourt with the addition of Belgian center Onyeka Joe Agu, a move finalized during the recent offseason.
Agu, who has spent the last five years competing professionally across Europe, arrives with a reputation for physicality, athleticism and defensive impact, qualities that coaches expect to translate immediately on the Pac‑12 stage.
His arrival marks the third international recruit on the roster, joining Germany’s Eric Reibe and Australia’s Joshua Hughes, underscoring the Trojans’ global scouting approach.
A Strategic Fit
Head coach Eric Musselman highlighted the player’s compatibility with the team’s ethos of energy, effort and enthusiasm, noting that Agu’s experience will complement the existing core.
The Trojans are slated to open the 2026‑27 season in early November, with a full schedule still forthcoming as the program finalizes non‑conference matchups.
