Tulane University’s football program captured headlines this offseason as the Green Wave prepared for the 2026 campaign, riding the momentum of a breakout 2025 that saw the team finish the season ranked No. 18 in the AP and Coaches polls and claim the American Athletic Conference title.
The breakthrough was underscored by six selections to the Pro Football Network’s 2026 Preseason American All‑Conference Team, a testament to the impact of key contributors who helped the Green Wave secure its first playoff appearance in school history.
Among those honored, running back Jamauri McClure earned a Second Team nod after posting 540 rushing yards the previous year, while senior linebacker Chris Rodgers was recognized for his 80 tackles and leadership on defense.
Defensive backs also received acclaim: redshirt sophomore Anthony Rogers, who recorded 55 tackles and three interceptions in 12 games at Nicholls, and Kevin Adams III, who ranked fourth on the team with 53 stops, both secured Second Team spots.
The defensive backfield’s success extended to the Third Team, where offensive lineman Gavin Marks and defensive back Jack Tchienchou were placed, the latter also having led the squad with 83 tackles and earned First Team All‑Conference honors.
Tulane’s 2025 campaign featured eleven wins in fourteen games, highlighted by victories over Power Five opponents — a first since 1988 — and culminated in a historic playoff berth as the fourth‑highest ranked conference champion in the 12‑team College Football Playoff era.
