Georgia’s 2027 recruiting class currently sits at No. 30 nationally, a position that reflects both promise and the work still needed to climb the rankings.
Among the prospects the Bulldogs are chasing is Adryan Cole, a four-star safety from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Georgia. Ranked No. 191 overall and No. 16 among safeties, Cole would become the program’s sole defensive back pledge in the cycle.
Visits and Official Trips
Cole has already taken part in the Bulldogs’ annual scavenger-hunt recruiting weekend and is slated to return to Athens on June 12 for another official visit. In the weeks ahead he will also travel to LSU, Ole Miss, Florida and Georgia, each trip serving as a final audition before his July 18 announcement.
The decision will be broadcast on July 18, a date that has drawn the attention of coaches across the SEC. Georgia, Ohio State, LSU, Auburn, Miami, Florida and Ole Miss remain on his shortlist, but the Bulldogs are viewed as the home-state favorite.
Head coach Kirby Smart and his staff have emphasized the need to secure additional commitments in May and June, especially as top recruits flood the campus for official visits. The pressure is palpable, and the coaching staff is mobilizing resources to keep the pressure on rival programs.
If Cole chooses Georgia, it would not only fill a critical need in the secondary but also signal a continued commitment to developing home-grown talent. The Bulldogs’ organization, known for its passionate fan base and storied tradition, hopes the pledge will be a cornerstone for future success.
