UConn’s women’s basketball program has unveiled its non‑conference slate for the 2026‑27 season, a schedule that blends marquee road tests with a return to familiar neutral‑site venues. The announcement, made public this week, sets the stage for a demanding early stretch that will test the Huskies against some of the nation’s top programs.
The centerpiece of the slate is a December 2 showdown with UNLV, marking the first meeting between the two schools in three decades. Their last encounter, also in December, came in 1997 when UNLV posted an 80‑47 victory, a result that still looms in the memory of longtime fans.
A historic reunion on the hardwood
In addition to the UNLV game, the Huskies will travel to face Michigan, Iowa, Louisville, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, Duke, Maryland and LSU. Several of those contests are slated for neutral sites, including the Mohegan Sun Arena, TD Garden and the Barclays Center, giving the team a chance to play in front of diverse crowds.
The season will open on November 5 with a home game against Michigan, followed by exhibition matchups on October 12 against Syracuse and October 19 against Texas. Those early contests will provide a preview of the team’s chemistry before the regular season begins.
UConn officials say the full non‑conference schedule will be released later this month, allowing fans to plan for what promises to be a competitive and geographically varied campaign.
