The University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball program has finalized its 2026‑27 nonconference schedule, weaving together early‑season road challenges, exhibition openers and a marquee home showdown against UNLV on Dec. 2.
A historic reunion on the horizon
The last meeting between the Huskies and the Rebels dates back to Dec. 27, 1997, when UNLV posted an 80‑47 victory; the upcoming clash will mark the first meeting in nearly three decades.
Early‑season road tests
UConn will open the season with back‑to‑back games against Michigan on Nov. 5 and Iowa on Nov. 8, setting a demanding start before the team even reaches conference play.
Neutral‑site gauntlet
UNLV’s own nonconference slate features neutral‑site contests against powerhouses South Carolina, Duke, Maryland and LSU, promising a rugged stretch of games away from home.
Exhibition openers and future matchups
Prior to the regular season, the Huskies are slated for exhibition games versus Syracuse on Oct. 12 and Texas on Oct. 19, while the full nonconference lineup will be unveiled later in August, with Louisville scheduled for Nov. 15 and a yet‑to‑be‑dated neutral meeting with Notre Dame and Ohio State.

The complete nonconference schedule, including the Big East conference matchups to be announced in September, will be published later this month, giving fans a clearer picture of the road ahead.
