Richmond Defensive End Daniel Sellers Earns 2026 Freaks List Spot

Richmond junior defensive end Daniel Sellers has been named to Bruce Feldman’s 2026 "Freaks List," a ranking that spotlights the most physically gifted athletes in college football, placing him 98th among the top 101 players.

During the 2025 sophomore season, Sellers logged 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks while also forcing two fumbles, underscoring his disruptive presence on the defensive line.

Award‑Winning Offseason Preparation

His offseason work earned him Richmond’s Gus Lee Winter Warrior Award, a testament to his dedication to strength and conditioning, which included a 600‑pound squat, a 455‑pound bench press and a 365‑pound power clean.

Strength coach Scott Brincks, who has labeled Sellers a "freak" for his combination of speed and raw power, says the player’s physical tools are among the most extraordinary he has seen at the collegiate level.

The Richmond Spiders open their season on August 29 at home against Bucknell at Robins Stadium, where the game will be part of the school’s Red Out event, promising a vibrant start to Sellers’ campaign.
