Villanova Field Hockey Unveils 2026 Schedule
Under the guidance of head coach Joanie Milhous, who begins her 32nd season at the helm, the Wildcats have released a comprehensive slate of games for the upcoming campaign. The announcement comes as the program prepares to blend tradition with a newly developing home facility.
Home contests will be staged at Snell Field Hockey Field at Ursinus, while construction continues on a dedicated complex on the Villanova Cabrini Campus. The venue shift reflects a long‑term vision for enhanced recruiting and fan experience.
The season opens with a neutral‑site showdown against Delaware on August 28 at Buckley Field in Philadelphia, setting the tone for a schedule that mixes local rivalries with out‑of‑state travel.
Early road trips take the team to La Salle and Penn State before a state‑wide swing that includes a matchup at Lehigh. Upon returning, Villanova will host New Haven and Queens University of Charlotte, then travel to face Lehigh on September 13.
The Wildcats will begin BIG EAST competition against UConn on September 18, followed by a home game against Drexel two days later. A highly anticipated Whiteout game against Temple is slated for September 25, while a Pink Out contest with Georgetown follows on October 2.
Later in the season, Villanova will journey to face Penn and Old Dominion, then host Hofstra for Senior Day on October 11. The schedule wraps up with a series of home games versus St. Joseph's, Providence, Wagner, and a final showdown against Liberty on October 30.
Beyond the regular season, Temple will host the BIG EAST conference in Philadelphia, welcoming the top four finishers on November 6 before crowning the champion on November 8.
