Iowa State’s Raynor Earns National Service Honor
Jaylen Raynor, the Iowa State Cyclones quarterback, has been selected for the 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy watch list, a recognition that celebrates FBS players who combine on‑field leadership with meaningful community service.
Since joining the Cyclones in January 2024, Raynor has made regular trips to Ames schools, volunteered at the local Boys and Girls Club, and spent time in hospital rooms, using his platform to support youth and patients alike.
His efforts have been acknowledged with a nomination for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, underscoring a career defined by actions that extend well beyond the gridiron.
The Cyclones will open the 2026 season at home on September 5 against SEMO at Jack Trice Stadium, a game that will spotlight Raynor’s dual commitment to sport and service as the campus community rallies around his example.
