The City of Rapid City’s Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for the fall season with the launch of two flag football leagues, one for youngsters in grades one through six and another for adult participants.
Youth teams will take the field at the Omaha Street soccer complex from September 7 through 10, after registration closes on August 19. The $65 registration fee covers a jersey and can be waived for any player whose parent volunteers as a coach, giving families an affordable way to get involved.
Adults interested in competitive, recreational or women’s divisions can also sign up, with league play beginning on September 1. Teams must register by August 26, and the cost per team is $375, a fee that supports field preparation and officiating.
Registration for both divisions is available online through the activity registration portal at rapidcity.activityreg.com or in person at the Parks and Recreation Office on West Boulevard Street. The department encourages early sign‑ups to secure a spot on the limited roster slots.

Beyond the games, the program aims to foster teamwork, physical activity, and community connection among participants of all ages, providing a positive outlet for youth and adults alike.
