Robbie Holmes Returns to Idaho Steelheads
The Idaho Steelheads announced the signing of forward Robbie Holmes to a contract for the 2026‑27 ECHL season, marking his return to professional hockey after a promising rookie year in the league.
During his first stint with the Steelheads, Holmes recorded 24 points — 10 goals and 14 assists — across 55 games, helping the club reach the first‑round playoff series against the Allen Americans.
Holmes’ professional background includes four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, where he amassed 114 points with the Regina Pats and Everett Silvertips, and a brief appearance for the Kansas City Mavericks during the 2020‑21 campaign.
The Steelheads’ schedule opens with a home game against the Allen Americans on October 23, kicking off a season that also features matchups against teams based in New Mexico as the club begins its 29th campaign on October 16.
