Boston College’s women’s basketball program has welcomed a new face this season: forward Nuria Ausaverri, who signed with the Eagles in 2024. The Madrid-born athlete brings a blend of perimeter skill and post presence, giving the team a flexible option in the paint and on the wing.
Ausaverri’s professional résumé includes stints with several Spanish clubs, among them Movistar Estudiantes, Real Canoe, Zentro Basket and Baloncesto Torrelodones. At Torrelodones she helped the side capture the Madrid championship in the 2024‑25 campaign and finish third at the Club National Tournament of Spain, highlighting her ability to perform under pressure.
Her club career also features a Madrid title with Real Canoe in 2021‑22 and a three‑point crown at the School Championship in 2022‑23, underscoring a consistent record of success at the youth and senior levels.
International pedigree and family roots
Representing Spain at the U16 and U18 levels, Ausaverri contributed to the national squad in multiple European events. She also earned a spot on the Madrid State Team (U16), which secured the national championship, before receiving call‑ups to the senior U17 and U18 squads. Off the court, she is the daughter of Gloria Galdón and Manuel Ausaverri, and she has two brothers, Manuel and Miguel, who have supported her journey from Madrid to the United States.
